Are my results back?

Most results are back within a week

Normal results: if your results are within normal limits, we will notify you of this via text message.
Results requiring action: we will contact you via text message to ask that a follow-up appointment be made.
Urgent results:  should your results require immediate follow-up, we will contact you directly.

If you would still like to follow up with your GP regardless of result,
please book a follow up appointment online or call 4859 1234 to book in.
 

May I just get a SCRIPT?

In some cases, it may be appropriate to request a script online via HotDoc
HOWEVER
other script requests will require more substantial time and planning, so an
appointment must be made.

Medication reviews are essential to your ongoing care.  You doctor needs sufficient time to ensure that your medications are still relevant and effective in your treatment.

Can the doctor just write me a referral?

Repeat referrals to non-GP specialists require a booked appointment. 

It is a legal requirement through Medicare that this takes place and the GP has adequate time to:
Review your case
Update critical information


This allows your GP to comprehensively communicate pertinent information to the specialist to
ensure the best outcomes to you.

Backdated referrals 
These are illegal.  Please inform your specialist that the GP will not perform Medicare fraud.
