Dr Andrew Jackson is a GP-Specialist, but what does that mean?  As his supervisor once put it, General Practitioners Specialise in the unknown!  This means that, when Dr Jackson sees you as his patient, he asks questions, performs examinations and orders tests to rule out typical diagnoses, but then, it is his job to do the detective work to pull out all stops to find out what else may be going on.  
When you attend a consult with Dr Jackson, you'll notice that he gives you his undivided attention, which is why we encourage you to have a long consult, so after his contact time with you, he can then focus on all the follow up, notes and investigations he needs to pursue to complete your appointment time with him.

Dr Jackson graduated from the University of Queensland in 2010 prior to completing his residency years at the Sunshine Coast.  He moved to Central Queensland to complete his GP Fellowship in 2015.  Preferring the generalist approach that is often required to work in rural health, Dr Jackson moved to Agnes Water in 2016, prior to establishing Shore Care Family Practice in 2017.
Dr Jackson's particular interests include obstetrics, palliative care, skin cancer medicine and paediatrics.
He enjoys family time with his many children playing cricket, Nintendo, walking and getting to the beach.

Lauren
Registered Nurse

My main background is pre/post-surgical nursing including gynaecology, colorectal, urology, general surgery, orthopaedic and vascular.  I also have experience in GP, Palliative Care, Community and RACF.
You will soon see I love talking! I love chatting to my patients to make them feel as comfortable as possible in a vulnerable time – I will strike up a conversation on anything and everything - I love hearing everyone’s stories!
When I was younger growing up in Jindabyne, my dream was to be an Olympic snowboarder and Snowboard Coach! My dream quickly became distant as I had to have multiple knee surgeries as a result from competitive snowboarding and netball. As I experienced life from a patient’s perspective, I realised I how much better I could make the patient-experience.  I determined to study hard to become an excellent nurse who was truly present for each patient.
COVID was a very trying time in the health industry and cast a shadow over my nursing career, however, since moving to Agnes Water and working at Shore Care Family Practice, there is nowhere else I want to be!  I love going to work every day with such a supportive, fun, educational team of health professionals at SCFP.  I love Agnes Water. I love the respect and trust the patients have for our team.

Sulindie

You may have seen Sulindie already at the reception desk, or spoken to her over the phone, but Sulindie will be supporting us all from now on in the treatment room because she is a nurse, too!
We look forward to learning more about Sulindie in the very near future!

Hello!  I have been fortunate to have lived in our community for 20 years now.  You may remember me serving you as the proprietor of our very first rural store in Agnes, or perhaps you’ve seen me as a volunteer with Pony Club and other community events with my family.
In the past I have enjoyed working in the horticultural and hospitality industries. I love being able to put my passion for excellent communication and customer service to the test as I answer your call or greet you in person.  Now that we’ve been moved to our new building and included plants in the décor of the practice, I truly feel at home as I come to work each day.
Outside of Shore Care, my time is filled with raising two teenagers, attending my horses and living the rural and beach lifestyle we have right on our doorstep.  As a long-term resident of the district, I love the sense of community and outdoor lifestyle we enjoy here away from the fast-food consumer lifestyle of the cities.

Greetings!  My name is Shelly, and I’ve had a long and varied career in ministry, children and community services sector, and music with qualifications to match.  At the heart of all of this is my Faith, plus my passion for caring and supporting others, which is why I love engaging with you and your family when you present at reception or call us over the phone.  I love that I was able to have so much input in setting up the kids’ corner here, as I get a thrill using my experiences to being able to create a fun and supportive environment for our children. 
I’ve been married to my childhood sweetheart, Dave, for 35 years.  We have 3 adult kids and 9 grandchildren.  Any down time is spent singing and songwriting, and you’ll find me in church every Sunday leading worship and even preaching sometimes. I have a secret past of winning the Qld Country Music Awards and touring in the industry for 10 + years.  I love travelling our beautiful country in our caravan, meeting people, and having a good old-fashioned chat about just about anything.

I graduated my nursing studies in 2004.    
Since then, I have concentrated mostly on supporting my husband in his studies and career whilst raising and homeschooling our seven children.  My passion for delivering high standards of care and learning knew things has enabled me to work behind the scenes at Shore Care Family Practice as Practice Manager and strive to develop better and better systems.  Occasionally you’ll see me on site, which means I have the privilege and opportunity to meet and learn a little something about you too!
My dream is to continue to deliver better and better services to our community and have more time to spend with my husband and children.  If I could incorporate surfing my new short board and playing my violin in those moments (although not at the same time!), then that would be a bonus.
